As a survivor, advocate, nonprofit founder, and the visionary behind Her Courage Her Crown Foundation, DeShondra knows firsthand what it means to walk through the fire and come out not just alive — but transformed. She knows what it feels like to search for something — anything — that reminds you of who you are when the world has tried to tell you otherwise.

She couldn't find exactly what she was looking for. So she created it.
